Student of the Month June '19: Selene

Our Student of the Month for June 2019 is Selene! Selene has been taking piano lessons in Milton with Mr. Andrew, for several years now. At just 9 years of age, Selene, is already a sought after performer in the community. She has graced many on the piano, performing duets with her sister, at the Living Arts Centre and FirstOntario Arts Centre. Selene is a Multiple-Winner at Peel Music Festival 2018 for Grade 3 Solo Pieces and for Duets, and just took 1st Place at Peel Music Festival 2019. She received 1st Class Honours with Distinction for her score of 90% on her Grade 3 RCM Piano Exam and is currently preparing for her Grade 5 RCM Exam. Outstanding work Selene!

Danielle Performs at Carnegie Hall!

We are so thrilled to Congratulate Mississauga School of Music's own Danielle, Winner of the Crescendo International Music Competition 2019 – Little Mozart Division. Her performance of Invention No.8 in F Major by Bach received a score of 29/30 from the jury. "..nice, clean fingerwork, your invention is also elegant which is about higher level skills. Convincing style, steady tempo, accurate rhythm contribute a lot to your performance." - Olga Alino Danielle is a rising star at Mississauga School of Music and has been under the care of piano teacher Ms. Natalie, for several years now.
